Our weekly photo challenge is quite colorful. Where do you find fabulous florals? We’ll we find them everywhere. Come visit my backcountry, beach, riverside, local trail, and even my bucket list Fabulous Florals with me. We walk a lot even when staying out at our shouse (shop/house) and this spring has been blooming along the main walking trail. I enjoyed grabbing the camera and capturing a few new beauties to share with you!
Back Country Hikes
I am constantly distracted on hiking and backpacking trips when I spot something flowering. I suspect it’s a way to distract myself from being sweaty, tired, thirsty, or my screaming feet; but, it also makes a nice way to just pause and look around. Some people like to barrel through the effort and get to a destination or mile post, whereas I’m always stopping to take it all in.
Beach Sand Dunes
A favorite spot for RV camping is along the Gulf of Mexico and we’ve visited the National Seashore in Corpus Cristi, TX more than once. We were tucked into sand dunes on one side and the ocean waves right outside the door, on the other side. The sand dunes were colorfully sporting a flowering vine.
Overlooking the River
One of our favorite early camping finds was in Idaho just north of Ketchum, ID and in the Sawtooth Recreation Area. We were able to park in a nice roomy, level site right next to the river. This is now no longer possible as the forest service has made camping in designated areas only and “our” lovely spot has been forever blocked off. A growing trend with overly popular forest areas is to predetermine where a campsite can and can’t be. Benefits the forest and the staffing of the forest service, but we lost access to idyllic areas for the foreseeable future. The first photo is from that exciting camp area and just like the flower it is no longer around.
Local Walking Trail
Some of my daily flowering views from our local walking and biking trail. With spring here, my daily exercise time has gotten much more colorful. Trees, Shrubs, Roses and Cactus are all showing off their colors.
I’ve mentioned this a couple of time both here and on our YouTube channel so I’ll keep it short and not gush on and on. If you enjoy flowers, color, spring, joy, and anything rainbow, then a blooming tulip field should be on your bucket list!
