It’s a New Year and we’ll just keep marching into our planned future!
Twenty years from now you will look back more regretfully upon the things you didn’t do than those you did. So set free the bowlines, sail away from safe harbor. Dream. Explore. Discover.

Make a Plan
Seems so obvious yet so many people can’t grasp this simple idea. What is it you want leads to, what does it cost to achieve it, which defines how you need to live in the present. Only then will the present march you toward that future. Dreaming without action leaves us standing still.

What is our plans for 2022?
Today our future plans still revolve around traveling. Even with the looming new house build, and fingers crossed we get to break ground this spring, we will still get out and explore this year. Getting to areas I’ve never been. Even if the end destination is family or a place we’ve landed before, I enjoy finding back country routes and exploring different areas on our way.
There are many unknowns and I’ll chip at them little by little as the present slides into the past. Fortunately, we know what the goal is and we’ve laid the foundations to make it work. Even if the direct path is unknown, we’ll get to our future.

Oh I love your attitude about future, and the Mark Twain quote is spot on. My favorite photo is of the bighorn sheep. They dont at all seem bothered bayou watching them. Very nice. Donna

Great motivation to start planning, Cheryl! As I sit to get our taxes ready for filing, I’m already planning in my mind the camping trips we want to take this year. We want to explore more of our own backyard in Washington, some time at Yellowstone and Glacier, and a road trip south to visit family we didn’t get to see this winter. Thank you for the Sunday Stills shout-out!

Escaping to the parks sounds like great fun. I hope to return to Glacier myself but have to wing it based on how the building priorities shake out.
