Colorful and Striking
As the sun settles lower on the horizon so does my head settle into a pillow. If I’m lucky I’ll catch a glimpse of the sunset. Sometimes it’s from the road, other times it’s from camp or home.
Days come and go
Some are fast and some are slow
Some are memorable and others, no so
Yet, the days sunset marks the end
As dark descends -- Cheryl
This sunset arrived at the end of a storm and while the sun attempted to peek out between clouds it grew to a very bright glow until twilight blinked and the sun was gone.

From Wyoming, this sunset also followed an afternoon of summer showers. Following a somewhat crazy, racing the thunder kayak outing, I enjoyed watching this tranquil sunset end our day. Of course it was from inside the camper, Maximus. The fly population along the river bank was atrocious.

A desert sunsets never disappoint with its rainbow of pinks, oranges and purples marking the end of a quiet evening. This was in northern Nevada near Spencer Hot Springs. It was a new BLM boondocking discovery that capped off a mundane drive with this artful display.

Beautiful! I especially like the last one with Maximus sharing the scene.

I don’t know why but I always get excited to land somewhere before the sun sets and see if I can catch a good view and photo!

Such beautiful sunsets, Cheryl! Wow, we had some thunderstorms most of the week, you too? I think summer is finally here.
My favorite is the image with the sun setting over the lake among the reeds. Tranquil indeed!

One thing I missed living in Hot Springs Village is that the sunsets were blocked by all the trees. They are awesome here in CO. Very vivid.

I get that. We have some nice ones here but I can’t see them from the property, so we catch them by accident coming back from somewhere.

Too many trees there?
