Frosty days are for slowing down. Take time to plan, study, prepare for the upcoming months. Along with planning, I like to mix in some good old exercise, reading, and new hobbies. After enjoying this more contemplative indoors side of life you’ll come to miss the frosty weather when it finally departs. Enjoy it while you can. When the days start stretching out in spring then summer, you’ll wish you were back in this slower pace of life. I know I’ll yearn for these short frosty days of winter.

Our photo theme this week is frosty. Being a recent migrant to snowy winter country, I am delighted to see fresh snow settle around the property. Waking up to fresh snow brings out the little kid. I actually want to get outdoors in the cold! With coffee in hand, I bundle up, slip on my boots, grab my camera and make the rounds. Here’s a few of my most recent snaps

Morning Sun, Clouds, Snow

It is the life of the crystal, the architect of the flake, the fire of the frost, the soul of the sunbean. This crisp winter air is full of it

John Burroughs

“Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way around or through it.”

Bruce Lee

If you have instagram, you can see my video clip of our morning transformation from a gloomy snow covered roof to a sunny sky. As the sun warmed us up, the shrubs spring to life.

Thanks for stopping by.
