Take a stroll with me through a handful of double delights for this week’s photo challenge.
Double Waterfalls
I might need to call this double-squared water falls. It is really a challenge to not see waterfalls all along the Snack River Canyon and where there’s one, there are more. Sometimes many more! This area is home to Thousand Springs State Park which as you can surmise is home to thousands of trickling to gushing springs. It is beautiful and not far from our future home.

If you’ve not made it to Glacier National Park in the USA, this is a great example of what you’re missing! A wonderful hike that starts off from Lake Saint Mary then takes you across a small bridge and the first set of falls and then finally to this section of the river and it’s double falls. Although these are not the largest or grandest set of falls we’ve encountered, it is quite lovely seeing the falls through the rocky mountainside. It was a worthwhile hike destination.

Stroll Through Our Glacier Park Past Posts
There’s much more details on my Lake Saint Mary hike in the Visiting West Glacier Park post.
Waimea Canyon State Park Hawaiian Island of Kuaui is one of those must see areas when visiting the islands. Waimea Canyon has been called the Grand Canyon of the Pacific and is 10miles long and 3000 feet deep. The Waipoo Falls hike is a very wet 3.2 mile out and back hike through the tropical forest. The Falls here are 800 feet tall and are a doubly ground site viewed from helicopter. When you look up Waimea Canyon on the internet, the Waipoo Falls are typically what are showcased.

It’s a busy hiking trail and I’d recommend starting early to find parking, wear thick sole shoes and eve n bring hiking poles. The trail is wet to very wet in many places. Going up hill wasn’t too back, but the return make for a few slick downward sections. I was one of a few people slipping on my butt!

Hiking Buddy
Taking a lunch break during a long hike in Canada. The weather was still cool enough for a knit cap on my head so I was loving the sunshine. I had fun capturing our shadows as we shared the log and noshed on cheese, crackers and fruit before heading back. Sadly, that hat (it was a favorite) never made it back to the camper. I’m still hunting for its replacement.

Double Trouble on Snow Shoes
Grab a friend, take a roadtrip in May during one of the longest snow seasons seen in a few years; well, at least until this year (2023). With snow in the forecast, Kim packed her old show shoes for us to put to work. That was my only time snow shoeing and we had a great time exploring in the quite, snow enveloped Mamouth Lake area. I’ve been open to try it again, just waiting for another opportunity to appear.

Hey Cheryl, your newest link doesn’t go anywhere–getting the error page again. The link looks like all numbers rather than a title 😦

Let me know if it works now. I have no idea what occurred. I had published the post Monday while we were driving so it’s possible the publishing messed up even though I got emails. I also doubled checked my ping
back link to your post and it appeared to be working.

I found your post, Cheryl. It’s dated July 18, 2023. It wasn’t there before, but even the July date through me off when I went to your home page, When the pingback gave me the error message, I went to your site. Your theme is like mine, posts how up out of order by date. I had to fix mine with the keyword. Check how your theme does that. Weird, LOL!

How much fun is this, Cheryl? These double falls images are quite amazing! I thought you would show a pic of Twin Falls 😁. Love the snow shoe picture. As I sit here in 90+ heat again, I’m longing for a snow day! Have a great week my friend!
